Story Syndicate is producing a doc for Netflix about Natalee Holloway’s disappearance in Aruba in 2005.
Holloway was visiting Aruba from Alabama in May 2005 when she disappeared, setting off widespread media coverage across the globe. Dutch national Joran van der Sloot confessed to killing Holloway in 2023.
In the Netflix doc, Natalee’s mother, Beth Holloway, tells the story of the 20-year journey to find answers. It also features exclusive access to investigators and previously unseen footage and audio of Natalee’s family and friends.
The three-parter is directed by Danielle (Dani) Sloane and Matthew Galkin. Liz Garbus, Dan Cogan, Jon Bardin, Dani Sloane, and Tommy Coriale are the executive producers.
