Coolita and the China Intercontinental Communication Center (CICC) have launched an alliance in Indonesia, featuring representation from the country’s major free-to-air broadcasters, to drive the expansion of the FAST ecosystem in the Southeast Asian nation.
The alliance’s founding members include TVRI, Metro TV, GARUDA TV, BTV, Jawa Pos Multimedia and JAKTV, with Tencent Cloud as the technology partner. It aims to help broadcasters explore free streaming channels and foster greater collaboration within the Indonesian media ecosystem.
Coolita operates a smart TV platform across 100-plus countries, reaching 40 million users worldwide, including more than 5 million in Indonesia. Coolita Channel features more than 1,000 free channels across news, sports, movies and other genres.
The alliance was announced during the China–Indonesia Youth Cultural Exchange Series in Jakarta.
