Scara, a culture and experiences company that holds a portfolio of live sports, and PlaysOut, operating in the interactive entertainment and mini-games sector, have tapped independent consultant Harry Teper to serve in strategic advisory roles as they expand their global footprints.
London-based Teper has held senior leadership positions with Fox Networks Group, National Geographic Channels, Blue Ant Media, and Omens Studios.
At Scara, as a strategic advisor, he will work closely with CEO Manoj George as the company expands its reach. Since 2023, it has been working with brands, creators, rights holders, and communities on original IP, creator-led campaigns, and live experiences. Teper will help drive opportunities with broadcasters, platforms, brands, and investors. Once a current fundraising round is completed, Teper is expected to transition into a leadership role.
Teper has taken on the role of chief partnership officer at entertainment infrastructure and publishing company PlaysOut, working with Jassem Osseiran, co-founder and chief strategy officer. The role here will run across partnership development, investor relations, market expansion, and long-term commercial strategy. The company already works with the likes of WeChat, Douyin, ViuTV, Eros Universe, TV Azteca, and Grab.
“As entertainment converges across platforms and audiences consume media in more ways than ever, capturing attention and creating cross-promotional opportunities is critical,” Teper said. “While Scara and PlaysOut are very different companies, both have global ambitions and sit at the centre of evolving consumer engagement. My role is to help build strategic partnerships and scale both businesses internationally.”
