Box to Box Films, the outfit behind Formula 1: Drive to Survive and a raft of other sports docs, has tapped Matteo Perale as president and Matt Moore as CFO.
Perale has been enlisted to work across development, partnerships, and new business opportunities as the company embarks on its next stage of growth. He previously co-founded wiip, now owned by JTBC, and has held senior roles at CAA and Infront Sports & Media. With the appointment, James Gay-Rees and Paul Martin, founders of the company, become co-CEOs.
Matt Moore, joining as CFO, previously worked at Vice Media Group, ITV, Virgin Media and BSkyB.
Perale commented, “Box to Box has built something incredibly distinctive with a way of telling stories that genuinely connects with audiences around the world, and a brand that stands for quality. Those values remain at the core of what’s needed to succeed in a time of rapid change. I’m excited to build on that as we continue expanding the company and positioning it at the intersection of content, culture, and brands.”
Moore added: “This is a business with a clear creative identity and real momentum. I’m looking forward to supporting the next phase of growth and helping to build the infrastructure needed to scale globally.”
Gay-Rees and Martin added: “Matteo brings a rare combination of creative instinct, strategic thinking, and deal-making experience. As we continue to grow across our core slate and in partnership with brands, that perspective is incredibly valuable. Alongside Matt, who brings deep experience in scaling global media businesses, these appointments strengthen the leadership team for what comes next.”
