CJ ENM’s Exchange format is expanding beyond Asia with a Brazilian remake from Amazon MGM Studios and Formata.
The dating format originated on TVING in 2021. Sebastian Kim, head of CJ ENM’s content distribution business unit, said the format incorporates “local cultures and sensibilities into the strong emotional resonance of the original format.”
Love Transit, the Japanese remake, is back for a third season in October on Prime Video. Love Transit 35+ will feature contestants over the age of 35.
“The launch in Japan and the confirmed remake in Brazil serve as prime examples of how K-unscripted content is expanding its influence across borders and languages, driving global trends,” said Kim.
