DCD Rights has secured the international rights to a six-part series that follows Prue Leith and Sandi Toksvig on a South African adventure, produced by Yeti for Channel 4.
Prue & Sandi’s South African Adventure has already notched up slots with Foxtel in Australia and BBC Lifestyle in South Africa.
Nicky Davies Williams, CEO of DCD Rights, said, “We are delighted to have this new travel series with great friends Prue and Sandi, blending their aspirational journey across South Africa with sharing their personal memories and love of history and culture. We are certain it will be an international success with its careful balance of engaging personalities and cultural insights.”
Celebrity-led fact-ent series are faring well for DCD Rights with recent deals on Bill Bailey’s Vietnam Adventure and Sue Perkins’ Big Adventure: Paris to Istanbul. Bill Bailey’s Vietnam Adventure was acquired by BBC Earth (South Africa and Poland), Warner Bros. Discovery (Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong), TVNZ (New Zealand), Ananey Communications (Israel), and GBC (Gibraltar). Sue Perkins’ Big Adventure: Paris to Istanbul sold to TVNZ, YLE, and TV3 Group (Latvia), joining a raft of previously announced deals.
