Holly Cowdery and Claire Runham have reunited to establish a new media consultancy focused on helping producers strike partnerships, secure financing, and maximize distribution opportunities.
RUNCOWRUN is being positioned as a flexible resource for non-scripted producers navigating the new realities of the business, leveraging the founders’ extensive experience in the sector.
Cowdery was most recently head of sales at BossaNova Media. She previously held roles at TCB Media Rights, eOne, Lionsgate and NBCUniversal. Runham is the former acquisitions chief at BossaNova and earlier had roles at Beyond Rights, TCB Media Rights, National Geographic Channels, and Dragonfly Film and TV.
“As experts in our field and with the relationships to match, we’re driven to work across an industry in transition, staying close to the changes in how content is financed, sold, and seen, helping the businesses and projects we represent to navigate that shift,” Runham said. “The company’s purpose is to operate with trust, versatility and market-informed decision-making at its core at a time where collaboration, quick thinking, total flexibility and innovative bandwidth should be a basic toolkit.”
Cowdery added, “RUNCOWRUN offers a combination of complementary skill sets—I’ve loved my career in international sales, learning along the way as the role morphed into a deeper, integrated commercial partner role. We want to take this expertise to producer partners who need the energy and intel we can provide. Anyone who knows Runners and her acquisitions expertise knows the value she always brings to all the projects she picks up and develops. Having worked closely together for a decade, we are very much looking forward to working with clients, new and old, to bring the benefit of both buyer and seller perspectives across both legacy and emergent entertainment all in one place.”
