Primitives’ The Mole Set for Hungarian Adaptation

TV2 in Hungary is on board for a local version of the Primitives format The Mole.

A Tégla is being co-produced by TV2 and Eccholine for a Q3 2027 broadcast. The format originated in 1998 and has seen reignited interest since Netflix rebooted the strategic reality competition.

“After many years of interest in the format, we are thrilled to have secured the Hungarian television rights to The Mole,” said Gábor Fischer, deputy CEO of TV2 Media Group. “We believe A Tégla has all the potential to become Hungary’s most talked-about reality show in 2027. This unique strategy reality format has captivated audiences around the world, and we are excited to bring this global hit to Hungarian viewers.”

Emma Gosling, sales and acquisitions manager at Primitives, added, “The Mole is more than the original social-deduction format, a ratings hit and cultural institution in Belgium and the Netherlands. Nearly three decades on, The Mole continues to attract audiences, creating those long-lost TV watercooler moments, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats with masterful twists, deception, and surprises.”
