The acquisition of True and the Rainbow Kingdom by HITN is among a batch of new content sales deals inked by Guru Studio.
The popular preschool animated series will roll out on HITN, reaching more than 35 million Spanish-speaking households in the U.S., as well as on Edye, HITN’s premium preschool SVOD destination for the U.S. Hispanic, Latin American, and Brazilian preschool audiences. The show has proven popular in the region, logging 1.4 billion views in Latin American Spanish and nearly 600 million views in Brazilian Portuguese.
True and the Rainbow Kingdom has also been bought by Knowledge Network in Western Canada, and renewed nationally by CBC and SRC, as well as Star Channel in Greece.
Big Blue and 123 Number Squad will be made available on Air Canada’s in-flight entertainment offering via a deal with Anuvu. Both shows are also headed to the streaming platform Kanopy for libraries and educational institutions worldwide.
