Meta Media Entertainment has taken on the distribution rights to the half-hour animated special Celeste, produced by Brazil’s Spirit Animation.
Sold to Yle, the special has racked up several awards. It hails from Fernando Macedo, founder of Spirit and creator of the Karl franchise, which has had over 1 billion views.
Macedo, producer, director, and screenwriter of Celeste, commented, “We’re delighted to partner with Sara [Cooper] and Meta Media Entertainment, whose years of experience, insight, and dedication have helped champion award-winning content from around the world.
