WildBrain Refines Strategy Around Franchise, Content & Network Pillars

WildBrain has redefined its structure around the key pillars of franchise and global licensing, content, and its extensive digital WildBrain Network.

“At heart, WildBrain is a franchise-led company, built around some of the world’s most beloved kids and family brands,” said Josh Scherba, president and CEO. “As we continue to build on our proven 360‑degree strategy, we are sharpening our focus on the greatest opportunities for sustainable growth. That focus is driving stronger execution across our owned franchises and licensing partners at WildBrain CPLG, our world‑class content engine, and the ongoing scale and evolution of the WildBrain Network. With a clean balance sheet and a strong leadership team in place, we are investing with confidence and momentum as we position WildBrain for its next phase of growth.”

The franchise and global licensing segment, working across the company’s suite of brands, has brought in Ben Peace as EVP, franchise, reporting to Scherba. He rejoins the company just a few months after exiting his post as SVP, commercial, for AsiaPac, MENA, and India at WildBrain CPLG. Meanwhile, Maarten Weck becomes chief commercial officer and MD of WildBrain CPLG, taking the lead on the licensing side.

The content pillar runs across development, preproduction, and production, animation and live action, with Stephanie Betts becoming chief content officer, reporting to Scherba. Betts’ team includes Ricardo Curtis as head of creative, animation; Wes Lui as SVP, business development, animation; Morgana Duque as SVP and global head of production; and Daisy Wall, VP of content. The content pillar will also encompass content sales, effective July 1, led by Katie Wilson, VP of global acquisitions and sales.

The WildBrain Network includes more than 1,000 kids and family channels across YouTube, FAST, and AVOD, along with WildBrain’s Media Solutions ad-sales business. Kate Smith will drive this segment as EVP for WildBrain Network.
