Radio-Canada and Netflix are set to launch WildBrain’s live-action drama series Finding Her Edge later this month.
The series will have its Canadian premiere on Radio-Canada’s French-language streaming service ICI TOU.TV EXTRA on January 22, alongside the global streaming launch on Netflix, including in Canada. Radio-Canada will also air the series on its linear channel ICI TÉLÉ at a later date.
The drama is based on best-selling author Jennifer Iacopelli’s novel of the same name and inspired by Jane Austen’s Persuasion. It is set against the backdrop of competitive figure skating.
Jeff Norton, showrunner and EP, said: “Finding Her Edge showcases fantastic Canadian talent on both sides of the camera. I’m proud of what the cast and crew have built together, and I’m excited for viewers across Canada and around the world to meet the Russo sisters and follow Adriana’s journey on and off the ice.”
Norton serves as showrunner for the series, with Shelley Scarrow as head writer alongside Sabrina Sherif, Norton and Jacqueline Pepall. It was commissioned by Family Channel in association with Netflix.
