Netflix will remain accessible to Foxtel subscribers under a new multi-year deal between the companies.
Platinum Plus Foxtel iQ customers can access Netflix as part of their Foxtel subscription. Netflix content is also integrated throughout the Foxtel iQ experience.
“Netflix remains one of the world’s leading streaming services, and as DAZN continues to aggregate the best entertainment brands for Australian audiences, they remain a key strategic partner,” said Stephanie Quinn, Foxtel Group’s executive director of content and commercial partnerships. “Netflix was the foundation app included on Foxtel’s iQ platform when we revolutionized the Foxtel experience in 2019 and has been a key part of that experience ever since. Customer engagement with Netflix has been strong, showing the value of having Netflix seamlessly integrated into Foxtel. Together, we’ve helped shape the way Australians access and enjoy their favorite entertainment shows and movies.”
Allen Pan, Netflix’s director of business development for ANZ, Greater China, and Southeast Asia, noted, “Netflix’s partnership with Foxtel has always been about making it as easy as possible for Australians to find the local and international films and TV shows they love, in one place. We’re proud to extend this partnership and keep bringing the world’s best entertainment to Australian screens.”
Steve O’Connor, Foxtel MD, stated, “This extension builds on DAZN and Netflix’s shared ambition to give customers exceptional value, choice and convenience, with the world’s best entertainment available seamlessly in one place. By bringing together premium television, on-demand content and world-class streaming services, Foxtel continues to strengthen its position as Australia’s leading entertainment aggregator and make it easier for customers to find and enjoy the content they love.”
