Univision and Fremantle alum Adrian Santucho has been appointed as senior VP of unscripted content at Telemundo, tapped with leading the development and production of reality series, game shows, and music specials for the U.S. Spanish-language outlet.

Reporting to Javier Pons, chief content officer and head of Telemundo Studios at NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, Santucho’s remit runs across linear and streaming, with a focus on streamlining the development process. A 25-year media veteran, he was most recently CEO and chief creative officer at 360-POWOW, leading the development of live specials, scripted and non-scripted productions. He is a former EVP at Univision Studios and CEO of Fremantle U.S. Hispanic, Mexico, and Latin America.

“Adrian brings to Telemundo deep expertise in the production of unscripted content and specials,” said Pons. “A well-respected veteran in Spanish-language media, he has successfully managed large-scale international production companies providing content for broadcasters, cable channels, and streaming platforms across the entire region and the U.S. We welcome him to Telemundo and look forward to working with him to continue building on the success and strength of our unscripted content slate.”

Santucho noted: “Telemundo has built an incredible legacy of live, culturally relevant programming, and I look forward to collaborating with the team to continue evolving the unscripted slate across linear and streaming platforms.”
