Nippon TV is working with CJ ENM for the first time, co-producing a romantic comedy-drama, Merry Berry Love (working title).
About a down-on-his-luck spatial designer and a strawberry farmer on a remote Japanese island, it stars Korea’s Ji Chang Wook and Japan’s Mio Imada.
Nippon TV will broadcast the series in Japan in 2026, with global carriage on Disney+ via the strategic collaboration between Nippon Television and The Walt Disney Company (Japan).
The series directed by Kim Soojung (Semantic Error) and written by Lee Jaeyoon (Divorce Insurance). It is developed and produced by CJ ENM and co-produced by Nippon TV.
