5 has unveiled six new one-off films for its Play for Today strand, working with Vertigo Films and LA Productions.
The productions, which place emerging talent in key writing, directing and production team roles, will all receive limited theatrical rollouts. The broadcaster has slated three 45-minute films from Vertigo Films and three 60-minute titles from LA Productions.

This strand is about opening doors to new offscreen talent, taking creative risks, and giving new voices the space to thrive. We’re incredibly proud to expand the strand and discover the next wave of brilliant storytellers.”
