The BBC has unveiled a new Philomena Cunk series, with Diane Morgan and Charlie Brooker reuniting for Cunk On Cinema for BBC Two and iPlayer, with Netflix streaming the mockumentary internationally.
The faux documentary returns with Morgan’s iconic character taking on the world of moviemaking over three episodes. It is made by Pacesetter Productions. Brooker leads the writing team, and exec produces with Morgan and Sam Ward.
Jon Petrie, director of comedy at the BBC, said, “As our leading intrepid documentary filmmaker, who better to investigate the world of cinema? This series follows in the hugely successful footsteps of other Cunk projects, so we can’t wait to see what she unearths this time around. A huge thank you to the incredibly talented team at Pacesetter, Diane, and Charlie for bringing Philomena back onto our screens.”
