Beta Film has landed deals on the English-language dramas Bookish and Professor T in France.
CANAL+ acquired both seasons of Mark Gatiss’ crime drama Bookish for POLAR+. The series has logged deals in 100-plus markets for Beta Film following its successful UKTV launch. It is made by Eagle Eye Drama, part of ITV Studios, in association with Happy Duck Films, and is supported by the Belgian Tax Shelter.
NBCUniversal’s Rue 13ème opted for Professor T, another strong seller for Beta Film with slots in almost 120 markets. Also produced by Eagle Eye Drama, it was commissioned by ITV and PBS.
CANAL+ also picked up the crime movie cycle Death in Denmark for POLAR+. It is produced by EIKON Media for ARD Degeto.
Season two of the Dutch royal drama Maxima is headed to HBO Max in France after selling in 80-plus markets. It originated on Videoland in the Netherlands.
