Dubhub, led by Fredrik af Malmborg, is working with Turkey’s OGM Pictures to localize 6 of Us (Sahipsizler) for French audiences.
Broadcast on Star TV, the series, which ended its run last month, has seen tremendous traction on YouTube, logging 23 million views.
For the French localization, Dubhub will use its Evocion technology, which enhances dubs by combining AI with human editors and translators.
“Top Turkish dramas are incredibly strong both for licensing and for direct-to-consumer channels such as YouTube,” Fredrik af Malmborg, CEO of Dubhub, said. “With language versions, revenues from the original language on YouTube can normally be multiplied three or four times.”
Dubhub has recently launched version 2.0 of its in-house-developed AI dubbing workflow, which includes Evocion’s “emotion transfer” to deliver character performance and line-by-line voice direction.
