Globo Renews Content Deal with Telefuturo in Paraguay

Telefuturo in Paraguay has clinched a new agreement to provide its free-to-air audience a slate of dramas from Globo.

The five-year deal, running from 2026 to 2030, includes the telenovela Anything Goes, which reached more than 150 million viewers Brazil, becoming the most-watched telenovela in Globoplay’s history and Globo’s highest-grossing prime-time production. Other titles in the deal include Justice on Telefuturo and The Life We Lead and Brazil Avenue on La Tele.

“Renewing this agreement for the next five years represents a strong step in our mission to offer television of international standard,” said Marcos Román, programming and acquisitions manager at Telefuturo. “For Telefuturo, Globo is not just a content provider, but a strategic partner that shares our pursuit of narrative excellence. Paraguayan audiences have a historic bond and unique affinity with Brazilian stories; they have laughed and been moved by great hits, and this agreement ensures that connection continues to grow with the highest possible quality.”

The two companies first partnered in 2023, providing Paraguayan audiences with series such as Pantanal, Land of Desire, Rebirth, and The Thorn and The Rose.

“This new phase marks an important stage in a trajectory built on the Paraguayan audience’s identification with Globo stories,” said Pablo Ghiglione, head of sales for the Americas and AsiaPac and international co-productions. “The agreement reaffirms our commitment to offering content that continues to captivate audiences and expand the presence of Brazilian drama in Latin America.”
