ITV Acquires The Galway Bay Murders

ITV has acquired The Galway Bay Murders, a six-part RTÉ commission with Kate Mulgrew and Colm Meaney, produced by Two Cities Television.

The crime thriller will air on ITV1 and stream on ITVX. ITV Studios distributes it internationally.

“The Galway Bay Murders is precisely the kind of bold, high-caliber drama our audiences love,” said Darren Nartey, head of content acquisitions at ITV. “Eithne Verling has crafted a completely magnetic crime thriller, with an outstanding cast led by Kate Mulgrew and Colm Meaney, a compelling central mystery and the stunning backdrop of Ireland’s west coast. We’re thrilled to partner with ITV Studios, Two Cities Television, and RTÉ to bring this captivating new series to the ITV audience.”

Louisa Forsyth, VP for U.K. and Ireland sales at ITV Studios, added, “We are thrilled to have secured this presale with ITV for The Galway Bay Murders, bringing the series to audiences across the UK. This atmospheric crime thriller brings together the acclaimed production team from Two Cities Television with incredible on-screen talent, and we can’t wait for it to grip U.K. viewers.”
