Movistar Plus International has licensed the award-winning Spanish series La Mesías to MUBI for a range of markets worldwide.
Launching September 3, the Movistar Plus original was made in collaboration with Suma Content and hails from Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo, the duo behind La Bola Negra. Selected for the Sundance and San Sebastián film festivals, it stars Lola Dueñas, Macarena García, Carmen Machi, and Cecilia Roth.
La Mesías lands September 3 on MUBI in the U.K., Canada, Turkey, the Netherlands, Germany, and Australia. It will also stream on MUBI in France.
