Netflix in India has expanded its local content slate via a significant licensing pact with Bengali streamer and studio hoichoi.
The partnership brings all hoichoi series premiering in the next two years to Netflix in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Under the terms of the deal, new hoichoi releases will arrive on Netflix alongside their Bengali debut. The deal kicks off with The Cursed Temple of Kauriburi, premiering November 6.
Fourteen other hoichoi shows will land on Netflix, including Madam Inspector, Sampurna, Achinta: Trial By Law, and Parineeta: A Love Story.

The platforms will also collaborate on originals produced by hoichoi studios, reimagining some of its IPs.
