Sky has acquired season two of Heated Rivalry for 2027, as well as another Crave original, YAGA, the UCP series PONIES and The ‘Burbs, and A24’s Superfakes.
“We’re proud to unveil this slate of new premium dramas, each offering bold, distinctive, and world-class storytelling for our customers,” said Katie Keenan, group director of acquisitions for Sky UK and Europe. “The return of global hit Heated Rivalry to Sky and NOW in the U.K. and Ireland will be a must-watch next year, and we cannot wait for audiences to see YAGA, Superfakes, The ‘Burbs and PONIES—all joining an already stellar line-up of unmissable TV.”
Sphere Abacus handles rights for Heated Rivalry, produced by Accent Aigu Entertainment in association with Crave, as well as YAGA, a mystery thriller produced by Front Street Pictures and Blink49 Studios in partnership with Crave.
The ‘Burbs and PONIES were acquired from NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution.
Sky also showcased its upcoming originals slate, including Meantime with James McAvoy and the new entertainment format The 100 Day Split, as part of its UP NEXT presentation.
