WEBTOON Entertainment’s Studio N is heading to Lille for Series Mania Forum, showcasing The Legend of Kitchen Soldier with CJ ENM and taking part in a panel on webcomics.
Series Mania Forum is celebrating South Korea at this year’s event. The world premiere of The Legend of Kitchen Soldier is being co-hosted with CJ ENM at Series Mania Festival as an official selection on March 24. The studio will also be present via a KOCCA-organized panel on the expansion of Korean webcomics featuring Mikyung (Michelle) Kwon, Studio N’s CEO.
The Legend of Kitchen Soldier, which was highlighted by CJ ENM at MIP London, is based on a WEBTOON webcomic that has notched up 650 million global views. It is produced by Studio N and CJ ENM’s Studio Dragon, and will stream on Korea’s TVING as an original.
WEBTOON to Series: Adaptation and IP Expansion is set for March 25 and will feature Kwong alongside Lee Dong-geon, the creator of hit WEBTOON title Yumi’s Cells (adapted into a TVING original by Studio N and Studio Dragon), and Hyeyoung Lee, Studio Dragon’s chief producer.
