LG Channels users in the U.S. can now access the German Soccer Network, featuring live matches, following a deal between Cineverse and the DFB (German Football Federation).
The FAST channel features live matches showcasing German football clubs, including all Bundesliga teams. It will carry coverage of DFB-Pokal, a German knockout football cup competition.
“Live sports is an area in which Cineverse sees a lot of potential and an area that we can grow,” said Alexandra Viglione, SVP of business development and partnerships at Cineverse. “We hope that our distribution of this tournament helps existing fans and news discover the breadth of soccer across all divisions, one of the world’s powerhouses in the sport,”
“We are excited to have German Soccer Network join more than 400 diverse channels on LG Channels, one of the most-popular apps on LG TVs, further expanding the platform’s premium live sports offering,” said Matthew Durgin, VP of content and service at LG Electronics North America. “This partnership with Cineverse gives U.S. viewers an easy way to discover and stream live German soccer featuring some of the sport’s biggest clubs and players, directly from their LG devices.”
