Serial Maven Studios has secured the exclusive worldwide distribution rights to 50,000 First Dates: A True Story, produced by Peacock Alley Entertainment in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios.
The two-part doc, directed by Brent Hodge, tells the story of Nesh Pillay and her partner JJ Jakope, as they cope with her sudden memory loss. It launched as an original on Prime Video earlier this year.
“We’re proud to partner with Peacock Alley Entertainment, a producer known for elevated, globally recognised storytelling,” said Solange Attwood, CEO and co-founder of Serial Maven Studios. “Their creative ambition and reputation for premium, access-driven content aligns seamlessly with Serial Maven’s vision of working with top-tier producers. “Solange Attwood and I have a long creative history and a shared commitment to delivering big, bold, premium content with a global reach,” noted Carrie Mudd, president and founder at Peacock Alley Entertainment. “50,000 First Dates: A True Story presented a rare opportunity to blend genres in a way that appeals to a broad audience, and we’re thrilled to partner with the Serial Maven team to bring this series to viewers worldwide.”
