AI Discover is a new tab in Netflix’s TV app designed to drive content discovery, now available to a limited group of U.S. members on supported TVs, with continued expansion in the coming weeks.
The functionality is currently built around themes, each previewed with a clip from a show or movie, including “Something Light,” “Scare Me,” “Family Movie Night,” and “Quick Watches.” Those themes will then bring up matching recommendations. Additional themes will surface through the search process. The “Tune Your Recommendations” enables further refinement of what comes up in your selections.

Tell us a recommendation isn’t for you, and we’ll remember it in AI Discover, so it won’t keep turning up. AI Discover is powered by a new intelligence layer we’ve been building that responds to what members tell us in real time and keeps learning. Think of AI Discover as our test kitchen: we’re trying out new recipes for discovery, and your use and feedback help us decide which ones to keep, improve, or serve up next. Some may even make their way into the main Netflix experience.”
