MTV in the U.K. has revealed three digital-first series for its YouTube channel, commissioned by Amie Parker-Williams, director of digital commissioning and production.
In Search of Peace with Jordan Stephens consists of four 25-minute episodes, exploring how people are dealing with burnout and stress through the lens of content creators. It hails from After Party Studios and is slated to launch in Q1.
Shall We? is a 6×45-minute vodcast with Geordie Shore stars Sophie Kasaei and Holly Hagan from MTV Entertainment Studios. It lands in March.
The MTV Faces vodcast is back for six new episodes featuring music artists discussing heritage. Also from MTV Entertainment Studios, it will launch later this year.
Parker-Williams commented, “Our aim with this slate is to unpack the topics which preoccupy young people today. Expect unflinching and unapologetic conversations as well as fast-paced fun and laughs along the way, all delivered in formats that resonate with our Gen Z audience. In creating a range of properties for MTV in the digital space, we want to bring in new audiences while serving our existing fans with the faces and viral moments they love.”
Jamie MacDonald, head of originals at After Party Studios, said: “In a world of relentless demands on our attention—nowhere more so than online—In Search of Peace with Jordan Stephens feels especially resonant. Jordan brings honesty, curiosity and a deeply personal perspective to a subject so many of us are grappling with. Partnering with Amie and the team at Paramount for the first time on such a timely documentary marks an incredibly exciting milestone for us.”
