Red Seat Ventures (RSV), Fox Corporation’s creator-led business, sealed two major alliances this week, inking a deal with Charlie Sheen for a new podcast and bringing Kill Tony+ to its subscription platform Supercast.
Mostly Sheenius is a new weekly interview podcast in which the actor hosts personalities from the worlds of entertainment, sports, music, and popular culture.
“Charlie is one of the rare personalities whose life and career have captivated audiences for decades,” said Chris Balfe, CEO of Red Seat Ventures. “What makes this show so compelling isn’t just the guests, it’s Charlie’s ability to connect with people through humor, honesty and shared experience. We’re excited to help bring his voice to podcast audiences around the world.”
The podcast will be available with full video episodes across select digital channels.
Meanwhile, Kill Tony+, an ad-free subscription feed for the live comedy podcast hosted by Tony Hinchcliffe and Brian Redban, has arrived on Supercast. The move expands upon RSV’s exclusive multi-year partnership with Kill Tony to be the show’s exclusive ad sales and distribution partner across FOX’s streaming platforms, YouTube and other third-party services.
“Kill Tony has built one of the most passionate fan bases in comedy and giving them a direct way to support the show only strengthens that relationship,” said Balfe. “This is exactly the kind of full-stack model we want for every creator we work with: advertising, distribution and now subscriptions, all working together so Tony and Brian can grow and own their business on their own terms.”
