Agnete Thuland to Lead Fremantle’s Monster in Norway

Agnete Thuland, formerly of Strix Television, has joined Fremantle’s Monster label in Norway as managing director.

The appointment comes following the departure of Eva Rolland Korshamm, who is stepping down after 22 years at the company.

Thuland was COO at Strix. She previously worked as a producer at Rubicon TV and Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). Cecilie Sjølett succeeds Thuland as COO at Strix.

“Monster is a company full of highly skilled people with strong ambitions, and I look forward to building on what has already been created together with the team there,” Thuland said. “Despite some challenging years, I am confident that together we will position Monster where it belongs: as Norway’s most attractive production company, for both broadcasters and employees.”

Rolland Korshamn said, “I could not have wished for a better workplace than Monster. During my time in the company, Monster has established itself as one of Norway’s strongest and most respected production companies, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have led and collaborated with some of the most talented professionals in the industry. In recent years, my focus as a leader has been on driving necessary organizational change and building a leaner, more resilient company for long-term sustainability in a demanding television market. I am confident that Monster is well-positioned to build further on the strong foundation that has been created, and I look forward to following the company’s continued development from the sidelines.”

Georgette Schlick, CEO for Northern Europe at Fremantle, added: “With over 14 years at Strix, Agnete has the knowledge and experience to take on this position, and I look forward to working with her as we focus on the growth of Monster in Norway, with a clear content focus, a strong positioning and a future-proof efficient production approach. I would also like to say a huge thank you to Eva for all her hard work and achievements across her 22 year tenure at Monster, and I wish her all the best for the future.”
