The critically acclaimed prison drama Wentworth from Fremantle is returning, with Foxtel’s BINGE announcing the new commission during the 2026 AACTA Awards.
Wentworth, which premiered in 2013, reimagined the iconic series Prisoner and landed in 170 territories worldwide. The new commission was revealed at the AACTA Awards ceremony by Danielle Cormack, who played Bea Smith. The new season will feature characters and elements from the original and takes the storyline beyond prison walls.
