Warner Bros. Discovery’s Quest has renewed Ant Anstead: Born Mechanic, ordering an expanded 18-episode season three from ITN Productions.
The show, a car/house renovation fact-ent format, was one of Quest’s top performers last year. The first two seasons consisted of just eight episodes each. The show’s expanded season lands this summer. Jeremy Daldry, ITN Productions’ deputy head of U.K. factual, returns as executive producer, with Audrey Neil as series editor.
“Born Mechanic has captured viewers’ imaginations in the U.K. and around the world,” Daldry said. “Season one and two were both eight episodes; to have an extended run of 18 episodes for season three is a testament to the show’s production teams and the warmth and relatability that Ant, his family, and Duncan bring to the challenge of renovating both the cars and the house. With such a substantial commission behind us, ITN Productions is leading the way when it comes to modern, formatted factual content.”
The series was ordered by Graham Lafferty, commissioned by Charlotte Reid, and produced by Romy Page for Warner Bros. Discovery UK & Ireland.
