Blue Ant Media has unveiled a raft of new shows for its global channel and streaming brands, with the originals also set to be available for licensing through Blue Ant Rights.
The commissions run across science, mystery, space, history, wildlife, and nature, serving the content needs of the company’s expanding global channels and streaming services portfolio in 100-plus markets. (ScreenMDM Talks recently hosted Greg Diefenbach, EVP of streaming, to discuss opportunities for the slate.)
The slate of new and returning shows—available for licensing in non-commissioning territories by Blue Ant Rights—includes: Space: The Ultimate Countdown, Super Humans, a second season of World’s Most Secret Places, a third season of Aussie Snake Wranglers: Deadly Pursuit, Scaling Oz, Ireland’s Wild Mountains (with G.E.I.E. and RTÉ) and Rise of the Swamp Cats with ARTE France.
“Our latest greenlights of new and returning series offer a variety of content genres across science, history, and wildlife, bolstering our investment in original productions for our portfolio of brands,” said Alison Barrat, SVP and head of content for global channels and streaming at Blue Ant Media. “The lineup illustrates how we leverage Blue Ant’s integrated approach between our channels and rights businesses, allowing us to maximize the reach of our original commissions.”
