London-based outfit BOLDPRINT Studios, founded by former Channel 4 exec Phil Harris, has bolstered its senior team with the hiring of Dan Gray and promotion of Jack Adcock.
The company, in which Fremantle holds a minority stake, has named Gray as head of programs, overseeing the label’s current slate. He was most recently at Twofour, working on titles such as I Kissed a Boy and The Heat. Other credits include The Real Housewives (ITV and NBC) and Celebs Go Dating (Channel 4).
“Dan is one of the best next-generation unscripted program makers in the country, and we are unbelievably lucky to have tempted him over to us,” Harris, founder and CEO, said. “His values, ambition, and attitude align perfectly with what we are trying to achieve here at BOLDPRINT.”
“Phil and Lou’s [Hutchinson, creative director] creative energy is incredible, and working with them both in the past has always been inspiring and a lot of fun,” Gray said. “I’m really looking forward to helping grow the company and leading bold ambitious new projects.”
Jack Adcock has been upped to head of development from development executive, a role that saw him work on Channel 4’s Swiped: The School that Banned Smartphones and Amazon’s Would You Rather: Decide to Survive.
“Jack is a special talent; his promotion is recognition of the formidable slate and team that he’s built since BOLDPRINT’s inception just under two years ago,” Harris added.
“Working alongside Phil and Lou has been hugely inspiring and rewarding, and our special team never ceases to amaze me with the quality and ambition of their work,” Adcock added. “I’m so excited to continue to grow our slate and to see the next chapter of BOLDPRINT take shape.”
