Fronted by actor, author, and wellbeing advocate Davinia Taylor, The Hormone Fix is a new one-off special commissioned by Channel 4 from Welsh production company Little Bird Films.
The one-hour doc explores the role that hormones play in everything from sleep patterns to stress and energy levels, mood and appetite.
“Conversations around hormonal health have never been more prominent, but they’re often clouded by conflicting advice and misinformation,” said Clemency Green, senior commissioning editor at Channel 4. “With Davinia’s curiosity, expert voices and relatable personal stories, The Hormone Fix aims to make a complex subject accessible, engaging and useful for viewers.”
“We’re told to accept feeling tired, stressed, foggy and out of sorts as a normal part of life, especially as we get older,” Taylor said. “I don’t buy that. Hormones affect so much more than people realize, and I want to explore what happens when we start paying attention to them. Hormones make us feel happy and safe and bring us joy and love. If this program gets people asking more questions and feeling more in control of their health, then that’s a win.”

Hormones influence so much of how we feel every day, yet there’s still so much we don’t understand about them. That’s exactly what we hope The Hormone Fix will do, and we’re delighted to be bringing it to Channel 4.”
It will air on Channel 4 next year.
