Dan Blazer, co-founder of BlazHoffski and the creator of the Hello Goodbye format, has joined forces with Belgian format creator Wannes Deleu to launch Must Sea Media, focused on developing nonscripted IP.
The independent will create original unscripted formats for broadcasters and platforms in the Netherlands and Belgium, as well as for outlets in major international markets, focusing on creation and development rather than production. The new venture leverages their combined expertise in developing concepts that have landed on Netflix, Channel 4, CBC, TVA, Radio-Canada, RTL Germany, Nine and Globo. Blazer previously co-founded BlazHoffski (acquired by Warner Bros. in 2011) and Hollands Licht. Deleu co-created the award-winning Belgian format Finder$ Keeper$ and worked at Belgian broadcaster VIER.
“We know from experience just how high the bar is when it comes to developing a successful format,” said Blazer. “We start with what a broadcaster or streamer is looking for and the audience it wants to reach, then develop original formats from there.”
Blazer and Deleu will be representing Must Sea Media at MIPCOM.
