Channel 4, BBC Select and SBS are on board for a new six-part series fronted by Professor Alice Roberts from Tectonic Productions and BossaNova Media.
BossaNova Media originated, financed, and has now presold The Land That Made Us, produced by Tectonic Productions, an indie established by Roberts and long-time collaborators Dom Bowles and Theo Williams. A key highlight of the company’s MIPCOM lineup, the series, currently in production, follows Roberts as she travels across Britain to explore how geology and landscape have shaped communities and regional identities.
Roberts, Bowles and Williams previously developed Fortress Britain, a four-part history series commissioned by Channel 4 and hosted by Roberts in 2022. The Land That Made Us is the latest Roberts-fronted project on the Bossanova slate.
