ITV has commissioned a new series from Orchard Studios about the celebrity couple Jamie and Rebekah Vardy.
Set for ITV1 and ITV, The Vardys will follow the couple as they leave Leicester City after 13 years for a new life in Italy, with four kids in tow, as Jamie joins the Italian Serie A team US Cremonese.
Louise Major, commissioning editor for entertainment and reality, said,
“At a pivotal moment in their lives, this is a rare and revealing look behind the headlines—from the highs of Jamie’s football legacy to the realities of starting over as a family, with Rebekah sharing her reflections on one of the most talked-about stories of the last decade.”
That story includes the 2022 U.K. libel trial between Rebekah and another footballer’s wife, Coleen Rooney, a scandal dubbed “Wagatha Christie.”
