Keshet International Pacts with Krempelwood on Disaster Decoded

Keshet International and Krempelwood are co-financing Disaster Decoded, a ten-part docuseries produced by Perpetual Entertainment and commissioned for the U.S. by Radial Entertainment.

Currently in production for early 2027, the series will be distributed outside North America by Keshet International, which is deficit-financing it alongside Krempelwood in their first-ever partnership. The series explores catastrophes, from the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami to Hurricane Katrina and the disappearance of Flight MH370.

The deal was brokered with the help of Marmalade Sky TV and expands on KI’s relationship with Perpetual Entertainment, having previously worked together on Hitler’s Treasure Hunters.

Anke Stoll, SVP for acquisitions and co-productions at Keshet International, noted, “Disaster Decoded has everything we look for in ambitious factual programming: extraordinary archive, powerful human stories and globally recognizable events.”

Cristina Guggino, VP for originals and content partnerships at Radial, added, “Disaster Decoded takes events audiences may think they know and reveals the extraordinary human stories and lasting impact behind them. Combining remarkable archive with powerful firsthand storytelling, it’s exactly the kind of high-impact, globally relevant factual programming we want to champion at Radial, and we’re delighted to be working with Perpetual, Keshet International, and Krempelwood to bring it to audiences.”

KI is launching the series at MIPCOM.
