Lifestyle Sells for Cineflix Rights

More than 400 hours of content from Cineflix Rights’ long-running lifestyle brands and Australian natural history series have landed on channels and platforms worldwide.

Property Brothers: Under Pressure, featuring Drew and Jonathan Scott and produced by Scott Brothers Entertainment for HGTV in the U.S. and Canada, has secured a wealth of deals: UKTV (U.K.), Discovery Latin America, Groupe TVA (Canada) for its CASA channel, Nelonen (Finland), AMC Living (Iberia), Mediaset (Spain), Canal+ Polska (Poland) for its Canal+ Domo channel, AMC Networks International Central and Northern Europe for its Spektrum Home channel in Hungary, and Talit (Israel). Discovery Latin America also secured seasons one and two of Property Brothers: Forever Home.

Seasons one and two of the Channel 4 renovation franchise Château DIY are headed to Dreamia PT for its Casa e Cozinha channel in Portugal. Season one of the Spark Media Partners production has also been licensed to Warner Bros. Discovery for Turkey.

Season nine of A New Life in the Sun, from True North Productions for Channel 4, was picked up by Nelonen. In Denmark, TV2 acquired three seasons of Help! We Bought A Village, also from True North Productions for Channel 4, while Canal+ Polska took season one and AMCNI CNE licensed seasons one and two for Spektrum Home channel in Hungary.

On the food and travel front, Disney’s Dutch platform 24 Kitchen and Canal+ Polska’s Canal+ Kuchnia bought Ainsley’s Taste of the Bahamas (Rock Oyster Media for ITV). That show is also part of a package with SBS Australia that includes Dermot’s Taste of Ireland. M6+ and 24 Kitchen opted for Ainsley’s Football Feasts.

Season seven of the long-running Australian hit Inside Taronga Zoo was licensed to Sky (Germany) and Talpa (Holland). From McAvoy Media for Nine Network and National Geographic in the U.S., the show’s sixth and seventh seasons were licensed to Bell Media in Canada.

From STV Studios’ Auction House franchise, Nine Network bought The Derbyshire Auction House and The Edinburgh Auction House, and Discovery Italy picked up The Yorkshire Auction House for its RealTime channel. Rounding out the deals, Discovery bought season five of Richard Hammond’s Workshop.
