Seven. One Studios’ megahit Married at First Sight franchise is getting a new extension courtesy of CPL Productions, which is producing Second Marriage at First Sight for E4.
The spinoff brings together Married At First Sight UK and Married At First Sight Australia for a second chance at love. Across 24 episodes, four MAFS legends each from the U.K. and Australia will look for their perfect partner—and consider if they’d uproot their lives and move across the world to be with them.
Steve Handley, Channel 4’s head of reality entertainment, said, “These eight well-loved MAFS singles didn’t find lasting love the first time, but they haven’t given up—and neither have we. Everyone deserves a second chance at love and this time they’re saying ‘I do’ to a stranger on the other side of the world, risking absolutely everything for another shot at getting it right. I think it will be our greatest love story yet.”
CPL CEO Murray Boland added, “We’re so looking forward to this. Research shows people in Australia have more successful and enduring relationships with Britons than any other nationality, so we are genuinely hopeful that our brave singles can finally find the love they have been looking for.”
Married at First Sight was created by Snowman Productions, a Seven. One Studios company. Married at First Sight and Second Marriage at First Sight are distributed by Seven. One Studios International.
