Marloes Sturkenboom has been named MD of global IP, strategy, and operations at Talpa Studios, effective April 1.
The move comes following a restructure of the production company founded by John de Mol. In her post, Sturkenboom will work closely with Talpa’s global distribution operation, led by Sebastian van Barneveld, to expand the scale of the company’s format slate.
Sturkenboom was most recently responsible for content acquisitions and business affairs at RTL Nederland.
“It is great to welcome Marloes to Talpa Studios at this stage of our growth,” said Maarten Meijs, CEO of Talpa Studios. “She brings a strong combination of dealmaking experience, commercial judgement, and operational discipline. She has a clear ability to turn creative ambition into structured, scalable collaborations that create long-term value. Her arrival adds further depth to our global team and strengthens the way we build and grow partnerships across markets.”
Sturkenboom added, “Talpa Studios has built a powerful global footprint with an impressive portfolio. I look forward to working closely with the team to further align our international dealmaking and go-to-market approach, so our formats continue to travel consistently and at scale, built on commercially sustainable models that create long-term value across markets.”
