NHK WORLD-JAPAN and its VOD platform are making the doc Yayoi Kusama: Unstoppable Polka Dot Princess available worldwide following the acclaimed artist’s passing last month.
The doc first aired on the Japanese public broadcaster in 2012, exploring her life and career. The 49-minute special captures her life at a specialized care facility, where she continued to practice her craft.
Kusuma passed away at the age of 96 in Tokyo last month.
