The four-part tennis docuseries Aces: The ATP No. 1 Club has landed several deals for Paramount Global Content Distribution.
The show launched today on Prime Video in the U.S. and lands on 5 in the U.K. next week. It is also headed to Bell Media in Canada, SkyShowtime across Europe, NowTV in Hong Kong, and JioStar in India.
The show features interviews with a range of tennis stars, among them Pete Sampras, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Andre Agassi, Andy Murray, Boris Becker, and Andy Roddick. It is produced by BrightNorth USA in association with Front Office Sports Studios.
“Aces: The ATP No. 1 Club is a rare piece of premium sports storytelling, built on extraordinary access and the most iconic names the game has ever produced,” said Don McGregor, president of global content licensing at Paramount. “Tennis is one of the truly global sports, crowning champions from around the world and drawing fans on every continent. That universal appeal is exactly why we are seeing such strong demand from broadcasters and streamers to bring the series to audiences everywhere,”
Andrea Gaudenzi, ATP’s Chairman, added, “Reaching World No. 1 is the ultimate achievement in our sport, and having experienced life on Tour, I understand how much that journey demands. Only a small group of players have lived it. By bringing these stories to a global audience, this series gives fans a deeper understanding of what it takes to reach the top. It also helps us showcase the sport at its best, celebrate its greatest champions, and connect new fans with the players and moments that have defined the game.”
“Only 29 men have ever reached World No. 1, which is remarkable in itself,” said Dan DiStefano, chief content officer at Front Office Sports Studios. “Spending time with these champions was a reminder that greatness is never as simple as it looks from the outside. While their accomplishments are extraordinary, the lessons are universal. We’re proud to tell the story of what it takes to become and remain the best in the world. I’m also incredibly grateful to the players who shared their stories and the talented team who helped bring them to life.”
