We Chose to Go to the Moon, a live stage event filmed at New York’s Carnegie Hall in April, will be available to PBS audiences this November.
Created and narrated by writer and historian John Monsky, it was directed for the stage by Tony Award winner Michael Mayer and produced by American History Unbound, with RadicalMedia producing for television. Telling the story of the American space race—with a 45-piece orchestra and band, Broadway vocalists, photographs, and narrative drama—the “living documentary” will air on PBS on November 10.

As we approach Veterans Day, it’s especially poignant to honor the service, courage, and dedication of the veterans whose leadership helped to make one of humanity’s greatest accomplishments possible.”
