Quintus Studios & VICE Align for Danger Play

Quintus Studios’ AVOD-based Quintus Channel Network has commissioned Danger Play from Adventure Alliance Films, with VICE TV on board with a prebuy for select markets.

VICE has acquired the six-part series, which explores high-risk worlds such as professional bull riding, for the U.S., Caribbean (English-language only), Australia, and New Zealand. Quintus Studios is the worldwide distributor on the show, which was filmed in the U.S. and Japan.

Anouk van Dijk, head of co-productions & sales at Quintus Studios, said: “This collaboration with Vice TV strengthens our position as a leading co-producer working across both linear television and YouTube. We’re able to deliver premium, access-driven storytelling that performs in algorithm-led environments while also meeting the editorial and technical requirements of broadcasters — all within tightly controlled budgets. As traditional partners look to extend reach without increasing risk, this hybrid model is becoming increasingly attractive.”

Adam Jacobs, creative director at Quintus Studios and executive producer on Danger Play, added: “Danger Play is about far more than adrenaline. We wanted to get under the skin of what drives people to continually put themselves in harm’s way, and what happens when risk becomes inseparable from identity. By embedding deeply with contributors and removing the filter of traditional interviews, the series captures an honesty and immediacy that feels true to their worlds.”
