Silverlining Rights has landed several presales on Emporium Productions’ Richard E Grant’s Very Modern Odyssey, a Channel 4 commission pegged to launch at around the same time as Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.
CBC (Canada) came on board with co-production financing, and presales were sealed with SBS (Australia), HRT (Croatia), Prima Group (Czech Republic), BBC UKTV (New Zealand), and Cosmote (Greece). In the four-parter, the actor follows the route of Odysseus’ ten-year voyage around Europe, Asia Minor and North Africa.

With this series, we wanted to travel to the locations popularly associated with Homer’s epic and reveal the history behind them while discovering the draw they still have for travelers today.
