Sphere Abacus Expands True-Crime Slate

Ahead of the London TV Screenings, Sphere Abacus (SA) has ramped up its true-crime offering, taking on five series, including A Perfect Scam.

A Perfect Scam and Check-In To Murder, both consisting of ten one-hour episodes, were produced for Crime & Investigation by Peninsula Television. Skegness Psycho: 28 Miles to Murder is a two-parter from U.K. indie FirstLookTV, also for Crime & Investigation. SA has also taken on Look What You Made Me Do and Police Pursuits , made by Law & Crime Productions for the Law & Crime channel.

Jonathan Ford, MD, said, “It has been said that true-crime programming continues to soar in popularity around the world because it tells real stories about real people, making it even more captivating and intriguing than fiction. This view is confirmed by these five series from some of the world’s premier factual producers, and by the 1,600 hours of crime series Sphere Abacus has sold in the last 12 months. We’re delighted to have such diverse new examples of the genre to share with our clients.”
