Passion Pictures and Propagate Content are making a documentary for Sky in the U.K. about the recent trial of Duane “Keffe D” Davis for the murder of Tupac Shakur.
From BAFTA-winning director Marian Mohamed, the commission comes just a few weeks after a jury in Las Vegas found Davis guilty of first-degree murder, with sentencing set for next month. The feature doc arrives on Sky in 2027, exploring the trial and featuring insights from members of the Shakur family and inner circle.
“I want this film to give a voice to a family who are not just grieving, but who have taken back agency in how the murder of Tupac is viewed,” said Mohamed. “Most importantly, I want this film to make people laugh and cry and argue. I want whoever watches this to emotionally connect with not just the story of how Tupac died but with who he was.”
